80's Summer Cookies

This was my booth for the August First Thursday on Congress. The details on these cookies took a bit longer but it was definitely worth it. I think these are my favorite so far!

Fourth of July

July's First Thursday on Congress was great! The timing was perfect for the Fourth of July theme. I'm really glad I was able to attend this time. It was a lot of fun meeting new people and a real rush seeing my work on sale. The sample box was a hit. I ran out before the end of the night. Now I'm even more excited and motivated to plan ahead and be as prepared as possible. Thank you again to everyone who stopped by. If you're interested in placing a special order, send me an e-mail. Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, I surprised my mom with these cookies, decorated with her favorite colors. The flower sugar decorations were a simple, but cute, accent.

Starfish and Flip Flops

More summer cookies! Next time I plan to try more natural colors and play around with other designs. The sparkles in the second photo are sanding sugar.




The flip flops were my first attempt after the cookie decorating class I took. I made them as a birthday present for a dear friend of mine who always wears flip flops!

Note: Soon I will be acquiring the equipment necessary to take better quality photos with more light so that it's easier to see the details and true colors of the cookies.

First Thursday

My cookies were on sale June 5th at First Thursday on Congress. Unfortunately I had to work but my sister was kind enough to take my products and sell them next to her booth. My preparation was very last minute so instead of having an assortment of summer-themed cookies as I planned, I only had palm trees and octopi.







On Thursday, July 3rd, I will have a booth at First Thursday again. I'm excited because I have a month to prepare and I plan to ask off from work so that I can attend. I look forward to meeting many new people and sharing my excitement about my artful cookies with them. Stop by and say hi!

About Me

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management in 2007. I am currently working as a manager in a retail store. A few months ago I took a cookie decorating class at All in One Bakeshop and had a lot of fun! Since then, I have continued decorating and am now in the process of following my dream- starting my own business. I will post photos of my work in the next couple of days so stop by again.
